释义	笞古代五刑之一，用小竹板或荆条挞击犯人的脊背、臀部、腿部的刑罚。始于奴隶社会，西汉文帝后作为正式刑罚。隋唐后列为五刑之一，分为五等：笞10、20、30、40、50。元代曾改为六等，笞7～57不等。宋代后，笞常作为附加刑。被笞者皮开肉绽，疼痛非常。笞刑
